where we live and work.
This is Sacred Studies, a building that houses a beautiful shrine room, library, kitchen, and the office of the Sakyong, who is the son of Chogyam Trungpa, founder of SMC (also a brilliant scholar and exiled Tibetan king)
View, just after sunset, out our RV. Will post more descriptive landscape shots in coming days.
This is the shrine room in Sacred Studies, set up for our banquet last Wednesday night. I’ll be taking Refuge Vows here next weekend (it’s like a public ceremony, committing to Buddhism; and I’ll get a Tibetan name).
At the banquet, which was really lovely. Everyone sits at puja tables; there were appetizers, drinks, fancy dinner, toasts, performance offerings. A good time was had by all.
