bikes

Turquoise blue bike with an ivory seat.  Rode it up and down the block, honked the dark blue horn once, twice.  Looked into the woods at the wrong time and then down we went.  Knocked two teeth out but they grew back.  Later a black bike my older friend found on the side of the highway.  Hit a curb and went over the handlebars, killed another tooth which did not grow back.  Two other bikes in my childhood: one white one yellow.  The white one came obviously from Kmart and was an embarrassment.  Yellow one, a Schwinn, was my mother’s.  It was a wedding present, 1972, part of a pair.
