six word stories

are all I felt like writing today.  Some of these may have appeared before; I keep a  running list of them, but without dates for some reason.  Looking them over, they’re mostly about Golden, where we live.  Maybe this will become a poem.

sick so long, germs wrote memoirs

snowed so you’ll paint Jack Frost
(go outside and he’ll paint you)

grocery store: old lady, leather pants

every noon, brokenhearted bum shuffles by

liquor store, sunset: enter shaky man

library: twin boys twin glowing screens

castle rock keeps late light well

Saturdays: three hundred dogs walk by
our RV and most say hi

last thing I remember: nautilus heart

The first one’s brilliant, and the next one (or pair) is really good.

Thanks Uncle Paul. I write a few of these every few days, sometimes haikus instead; it’s a good way to keep thinking creatively while writing articles for a lawyer.
