brush with death?

Yesterday I was getting into the shower, and saw there was a pretty good sized spider in the tub. I scooped him up in my hands, and he immediately ran up my right arm and down my back at breakneck speed.  I called out to my boyfriend for assistance, and somehow the spider ended up on the floor.  A minute later Steve told me he had gotten the spider outside, and asked me if I’d been bitten? No, no I had not.  Well that was good, because this dude was a Brown Recluse (they appear from time to time in Colorado and other dry Western place), most poisonous of all.  Thank you little venomous arachnid for not biting me and causing me pain, necropsy, and possible cardiac arrest.
